Terms of Use

The agreement between your family and Librancy — what you're buying, the rules on both sides, and how we handle the AI activity.

Last updated: 31 July 2026 · Librancy AI Academy
The short version. Librancy gives your family access to online courses for your personal, non-commercial use. A parent controls the account. Be fair with the content, keep your login safe, and treat our teachers and team with respect. These terms explain the rules on both sides.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Librancy AI Academy ("Librancy", "we", "us"). By creating an account, buying a course, or using librancy.com, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy & Safety Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Librancy.

2. Accounts & who may use Librancy

Librancy is designed for children, but only an adult (18+) parent or legal guardian may create and control an account. By creating an account you confirm that you are an adult, that the information you give is accurate, and that you are responsible for what happens under your account.

You are responsible for keeping your login details — and your child's PIN — private. Tell us promptly at hello@librancy.com if you think someone else has used your account.

3. What you're buying

When you buy a course or bundle, you get a licence for your household to access that content for personal, non-commercial learning for as long as we offer it. You may set up profiles for the children in your own family. You may not share, resell, sublicense, or provide access to people outside your household.

4. Payment & renewals

Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless stated otherwise, and payment is processed securely by Paystack. Where we offer an instalment option, you agree to pay each instalment when due; access may be paused if an instalment is missed. Any applicable taxes are your responsibility unless we state otherwise.

5. Refunds

We offer a money-back guarantee as described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it for the specifics and the steps to request a refund.

6. Using the AI build activity

Some lessons include a guided AI build activity. It is a learning tool for completing specific exercises, not a general chatbot or a source of professional, medical, legal, or factual advice. AI-generated output can sometimes be wrong or imperfect; it's part of the lesson, not a statement of fact from Librancy.

You agree that your child will use the activity for its intended learning purpose. We moderate prompts and outputs for safety, and we may limit, pause, or withdraw the activity for any account to protect a child or the service. See our Child Safety & AI statement for how we keep this safe.

7. Acceptable use

When using Librancy, you and your child agree not to:

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, particularly where a child's safety is at risk.

8. Our content & your child's creations

All Librancy lessons, videos, characters (including Libra), designs, and materials are owned by Librancy or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Your licence to use them is personal and does not transfer any ownership.

Your child's creations belong to your family. To run and improve the platform — and to show creations on your child's own pride wall and in your parent dashboard — you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content within Librancy. We will not publish your child's creations publicly or use them in marketing without your clear permission.

9. Availability & changes

We work to keep Librancy available and improving, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features and content, and we may update these Terms. When we make a significant change to the Terms, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use Librancy means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Our responsibility & limits

We provide Librancy with real care, especially for children's safety. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Librancy is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the course in question in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts will have jurisdiction over any dispute — without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. We'd always rather resolve things directly first, so please contact us at hello@librancy.com.
